π Alpha Futures asks court to step in over Tradovate dispute
Plus: Europe quietly outperforming and inflows are starting to follow

Hi everyone, another week is upon us and the markets are open, so letβs get into it.
The legal battle between Alpha Futures and Tradovate/NinjaTrader continues, with Alpha filing an amended complaint and asking the court for a temporary restraining order.
The order would seek to stop Tradovate from contacting Alpha clients, using Alpha client data or making further public statements about Alpha's finances while the wider case continues. Alpha alleges Tradovate promised 90 days notice before cutting access over a single weekend, and then used Alpha's client list to move traders towards competitors. These remain allegations and have not yet been tested in court.
A motion hearing is now scheduled for Thursday, August 20, so we may get the first real indication this week of how the court views Alpha's claims.
Definitely one to keep an eye on. Full details are in the thread below from @jmutrades on X.

We continue to grind higher
A small green week for the US indices, with the Nasdaq returning 1%. US markets feel very much risk on, and sentiment is not extreme yet, so conditions remain ripe for a continued grind higher.

European stocks producing outsized returns
If you believe everything you read on social media, youβd think Europe is dying. On the contrary, some pockets of the market are outperforming the US... in a big way.
Chart below shows European banks vs the Mag 7.

The median stock in Europe is up double digits so far in 2026
This despite the energy shock, with the median European stock notably outperforming the S&P 500.

Inflows into European indices is still under the radar
Flows have only now turned positive, with last week seeing the biggest inflows into European equities since February 2026. Time to put the DAX and STOXX on your watchlist, this trend might only just be getting started.

OK, youβre all caught up. Have a good week!
