👀 FundingTicks Announces Immediate Closure

2026 has it’s first victim. FundingTicks is officially closing down. After a loss of trust due to retroactive rule changes, and subsequently being delisted from PropFirmMatch, the plug has finally been pulled and it’s closing down. They have put together a refund/payout program for current traders. Click through the post below to read the full details.

They say that this is a strategic decision to “concentrate resources and attention on areas where we deliver the greatest long term value to our clients and partners." This refers to their CFD arm FundingPips, which appears to not be affected negatively by this decision.

• AquaFunded launched its Trader Plan and Aqua Elite tiers, aiming for scaling up to $4M with progression perks including salary, mentoring, and priority support.

• InstantFunding reduced the IF Micro minimum withdrawal threshold from 5% to 3% based on trader feedback.

• FundingTraders introduced its Zero to Hero 12 month program and outlined its updated 2026 scaling plan, alongside payouts in as fast as 2 business days or a $1,000 payout guarantee.

Here are this week’s red folder news events. Thursday could be interesting with Core PCE (inflation) and US GDP dropping at the same time, and Friday with ISM Manufacturing.

News coming out of Davos will likely be moving the markets this week as Trump is attending the WEF in person to deliver a speech and meet with European leaders after announcing the new US - EU tariffs due to Greenland.

For the first time in months, Market Sentiment hit Greed, just in time for the current pullback. S&P500 was red last week, and a gap down to start this week. As usual, the market tempts people to get long at precisely the wrong time.

Nasdaq breaking down?

One for the classical technical analysts. Nasdaq has broken the wedge it has been trading within since October last year. We are now trading below the 50 day MA, hitting the 100 day as of writing. Fakeout or breakout, whatever way you look at it, this is a critical moment for the equity markets.

Silver rally only just getting started?

Lets finish with Silver. It looks like it’s going to hit $100 this week. Before getting too bearish though, this chart from JP Morgan shows Silver’s inflation-adjusted all-time high is actually near $200/oz. Still a very long way to go should we run those highs!
